EXPLANATION

- Erase the conjunctions like "that, to, if, whether and etc."
- Use the reporting verb "tell" or "told" in its proper tense
- Use quotation marks, question mark, fullstop, exclamation
- Use comma before the statement
- If the principal verb is in the past tense, convert the past tense into present tense
